Eve Dobel (b.1999) is an artist from and based in London. Working mainly with oil paint, charcoal and pencil.

Statement

My work provides an introspective yet sometimes intrusive look into the individual. I aim to discuss who we are at our core when we’re alone and most vulnerable and what we hide, even from ourselves, exposing this to the viewer. My pieces often draw on personal experiences and perspectives but with the hope that the audience can recognise parts of themselves within the work. Intertwining portraiture and the human form with elements of philosophical ideals such as individualism and feminism, I focus on the human experience, using the audience as witness.
